At a national level it participates in the Netherlands Institute for Catalysis Research (NIOK) and the National Research School Combination Catalysis (NRSC-C), while at the international level it participates in several networks across the globe, including Europe, USA and China.

The Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group collaborates further - without being complete - with Kapteijn/Gascon (Delft University of Technology), Lefferts/Mul/Mojet/Lohse (Twente University), Hensen/van Santen/Pidko (Eindhoven University of Technology), Lercher (Technical University of Munich),De Proft (Free University Brussels), Hofkens (Leuven University), Murzin (University of Turku), Schuth (Max-Planck Institute), Olsbye (University of Oslo), Lamberti/Bordiga (University of Torino), Thibault-Starzyk/Daturi/Gilson (University of Caen), Norskov/Nilson (Stanford University) and Iglesia/Bell (University of California at Berkeley).

The group currently carries out industrial bilateral research projects done by either PhD, postdoctoral students or technical staff sponsored by Shell, Albemarle Catalysts, Dow Chemical, BASF, Total, Croda, Haldor Topsoe, ExxonMobil, Michelin, Johnson Matthey and Clariant.
